There could be hundreds of reasons why a modern minimalist house is so appealing. Whether the house would be for an all-year-round home or simply a vacation home in the summers, this type of house offers a simple and quiet living with relaxing outdoor and indoor area next to the abundant greenery.
The Modern Minimalist House Plan Specifications (Original Design, Archistock No. 000-014):
- 4,000 sf heated area, 2-story structure with an optional basement bonus
- 5 Bedrooms (One of the upper rooms is smaller, can be transformed into a den / study / gym room)
- 3.5 Bathrooms⠀
- Size: 31’-0” Wide x 87’-0” Depth
- 2-Bay attached Garage (480 sq ft)
The basement bonus plan gives you extra 1,300 sq ft. This can at least accommodate an extra bedroom / guest suite, full bath, a family recreational room, and a huge storage or laundry room.
The Design
We design this modern minimalist house with a concept of simplicity and modern minimalist touch. The architectural design has contemporary and minimal details using natural materials on the exteriors, like stone, glass, concrete and wood. We are aiming to maintain a simple minimalist and airy look with no clutter and easy maintenance so it can offer modern living convenience. We apply floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows on the sides and at the back. There are movable wooden slat panels on the sides for heat and visual barrier. This way, the skin of the house are able to create transparency and a seamless indoor and outdoor connection, without compromising privacy.
Common living areas and service rooms (garage, storage, mechanical) are located on the first floor. There is a big great room with an open kitchen and dining overlooking the landscape at the back of the house. This open-concept indoor living is directly connected to a covered outdoor patio and landscape / backyard.
The bedrooms are located on the second floor and totally private. All upper rooms have great exposure to the surrounding scenery. The master suite is facing the main view at the back with a viewing deck. There is another smaller room that has access to this viewing deck. You can use this space as part of the master, either for study/work from home, yoga/work out, or a baby room if you are expecting or have a toddler.
The other three bedrooms are for children or guests. Two of them are sharing a jack-and-jill bathroom, while the other has a direct access to a common bath. The position of these bedrooms are on the other end of the hallway so they would have their own privacy and won’t disturb the master suite.

Starter Kit Packages
A Starter Kit is a Schematic / Conceptual Set of the original design, in .PDF file format (non-vector files). The set includes floor plans, roof plan, 4-side elevations, and building sections of the original design (no design modifications) at a smaller scale (A3 or ANSI B paper size). This set of schematic drawings will come with measurements/sizes, room annotations, basic area calculation, etc, so it will be useful if you want to know more about the design prior to buying the architectural House Plans (especially if you want to make changes). House Plan Packages – Basic Plan Set (Original / Modified Design)
The blueprint / House Plan is available for purchase, either the original design or modified version. We can modify the architectural design and drawings to suit your needs. For example: reshape and resize the house so it can fit your land, rearrange the rooms and internal layout to fit your family needs and requirements, or modify the facade design, windows and roof.
The basic plan set is available in vector PDF and DWG/CAD formats and comes with the following items:
- Floor Plans
- Roof Plan
- 4-side Building Elevations
- Building Sections (min. 2)
- Exterior and/or Interior Rendering Images (min. 10 – 15 views)
- A Non-Exclusive Personal Single Use License
Additional drawings and other architectural design services are available if needed; e.g. additional drawings such as foundation plan, electrical plans, ceiling plans, site plan, etc.
Costs to build the house per square foot varies depending on several factors. Usually you can use our basic house plan or drawing set to obtain an initial cost estimate from a local builder in your city / country. Furthermore, if you buy our house plans, you can always customize the original design and plans to suit your preferences and budget (e.g. change the layout and square footage, modify door-window types and sizes, change some architectural material finishes, etc).
